T.O.P Takes Global Charts by Storm with First Solo Album in 20 Years

Singer T.O.P made a spectacular comeback by having his first solo studio album, “ANOTHER DIMENSION,” dominate global music charts just 20 years after his Debut.

The album, released on the 3rd, recorded approximately 1.47 million streams on Spotify—the world’s largest music streaming platform—on its first day. This figure sets a new record as the highest first-day stream count for any K-POP solo artist in 2026 and marks the first solo album this year to surpass 1 million streams. These impressive results quickly spread across major global charts.

As of the 4th, T.O.P’s album reached third place on the Worldwide iTunes Albums Chart and debuted at 16th on the Apple Music Worldwide Chart. It also topped the iTunes Albums Charts in 15 countries worldwide, including Indonesia, the Philippines, and Vietnam. It secured top positions in key music markets such as the United States, the United Kingdom, and Japan, further proving its unparalleled global popularity.

“ANOTHER DIMENSION,” which features 11 tracks in total, includes dual title tracks “DESPERADO” and “Wanjeon Michyeoseo! (Studio54).” It is praised for delivering a musical universe created entirely by T.O.P through his leadership in overall production, earning him praise as a “highly polished artistic work.”

T.O.P’s Comeback drew additional attention as members of BIGBANG—Taeyang, G-Dragon, and Daesung—successively promoted the album through their personal social media accounts. Notably, an image posted by G-Dragon showed a time stamp of 8:19 p.m., hinting at a connection to August 19, BIGBANG’s Debut date, and drawing intense interest from fans. Interpreted as a signal of BIGBANG’s potential reunion to celebrate its 20th anniversary this year, T.O.P’s successful solo return once again demonstrated the global influence of Korea’s top singers.
