BIGBANG Officially Announces 20th Anniversary World Tour “XX:COSMOS”

BIGBANG has officially confirmed a full-group comeback after approximately 9 years to celebrate its 20th anniversary since Debut. On the 4th, YG Entertainment posted a logo animation video for the “2026-2027 World Tour XX:COSMOS” through its official channels. The video, announcing a massive tour spanning 33 shows in 19 cities, delivered an overwhelming sense of immersion akin to an SF movie through the combination of light trails cutting through pitch-black darkness and powerful sound effects.

The worldview depicted in the logo animation symbolizes the bond built with fans over the 20 years since their Debut in 2006. Within the infinity (∞) shape, both the number “20” representing the 20th anniversary and the concept of endless expansion were illustrated. By combining this with “COSMOS,” which signifies connection, relationship, and continuity, the production team explained that BIGBANG is establishing a journey forward with fans based on the strong ties formed over the past 20 years.

This project will unfold in multiple layers centered around the world tour. A fan event at the Han River featuring fireworks and drone shows is planned as a key component to commemorate the 20th anniversary. Additionally, BIGBANG will present a media exhibition titled “COSMOS” that looks back at their musical journey.

BIGBANG has set numerous historical records in the global concert industry. Through the “ALIVE GALAXY” tour, it attracted 1.5 million attendees, the highest number for any single K-pop artist’s tour. It was also the first foreign artist to complete a dome tour in Japan’s six major venues and achieved a record of five consecutive dome tours. In China, performances in 13 cities drew 250,000 fans, and it held one of the largest tours in North America at the time. This upcoming world tour will build upon these global concert experiences and expertise.

The tour will begin with new music. BIGBANG will release a new song on August 19th, followed by three days of performances from August 21st to 23rd at the Goyang Sports Complex for the “BIGBANG 2026-2027 World Tour XX:COSMOS in Goyang” event in collaboration with Coupang Play. This stage will mark the opening act for the full tour set to take place in 19 cities.
