Big Bang Performs 20th Anniversary Show at Coachella

Big Bang held a 20th anniversary performance at the Coachella Valley Music & Arts Festival as a trio consisting of G-Dragon, Taeyang, and Daesung. On April 12th, they performed 17 songs over approximately 50 minutes on the Outdoor Theatre stage in Indio, California.

The show began with dancers dressed in outfits featuring symbols from the “Made” album waving flags under red lighting. Soon after, the opening notes of “Bang Bang Bang” played, triggering loud cheers from the audience. At that moment, G-Dragon, Taeyang, and Daesung appeared on stage.

During this performance, Big Bang performed their major hit songs such as “Bang Bang Bang” (2015), “Lies” (2007), “Haru Haru” (2008), and “Fantastic Baby” (2012). It also included a remake of a song by Lee Moon-se. A large screen behind the stage displayed the group’s name, while fans waved yellow crown-shaped Lightstick to mimic the performances.

G-Dragon said on stage, “It took a long time for us to get here. BIGBANG is back!” The members added, “Our 20th anniversary has just begun, and bigger things are coming, so please wait for a little longer.”

Since their Debut in 2006, Big Bang has been a leading group in K-POP for 20 years. This Coachella performance was the first to be held under the Big Bang name since they released “Still Life” in April 2022. In 2020, Big Bang was invited to Coachella as a four-member group, but the event was canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

With this performance, Big Bang’s 20th anniversary activities officially begin.
