넷플릭스 'K-팝 데몬 헌터스', 6월 20일 글로벌 공개...소니픽처스 애니메이션 제작

넷플릭스는 소니픽처스 애니메이션(SPA) 제작의 음악 중심 액션 애니메이션 'K-팝 데몬 헌터스'를 6월 20일 전 세계 190여 개국에서 동시 공개한다고 발표했다. K-팝 데몬 헌터스는 세계적으로 인기 있는 K-팝 걸그룹 멤버들이 무대 밖에서 악마를 사냥하는 이중 세계를 배경으로 한다. 영화의 줄거리는 "When they aren't selling out stadiums, Kpop superstars Rumi, Mira and Zoey use their secret identities as badass demon hunters to protect their fans from an ever-present supernatural threat. Together, they must face their biggest enemy yet – an irresistible rival boy band of demons in disguise"이다. 성우진은 화려하다. 주인공 K-팝 걸그룹 멤버 3인 역에는 Arden Cho(Rumi), May Hong(Mira), Ji-young Yoo(Zoey)가 배치되었다. 라이벌 보이그룹 리더 진우 역에는 배우 안효섭이 캐스팅되어 모든 대사를 영어로 소화한다. 그 외에도 Yunjin Kim, Daniel Dae Kim, Byung Hun Lee, Joel Kim Booster, Ken Jeong, Liza Koshy 등 할리우드 스타들이 참여했다. 안효섭은 성명을 통해 "I still remember the excitement I felt when I first read the script for KPop Demon Hunters. Playing the character Jinu gave me the chance to explore a new way of working.
