SECRET Returns After 12 Years…Reforming as a Trio with Junhyo Song and Jinger as Core Members

The girl group SECRET is set to return to the stage for the first time in 12 years. On June 4, RBW, the entertainment company that manages SECRET, officially announced that the group is preparing for a Comeback, stating that specific details regarding the Comeback will be shared sequentially. SECRET will operate as a trio, with former members Junhyo Song and Jinger (Jeong Hana) serving as the core members alongside a new recruit.

SECRET debuted in 2009 as a four-member girl group consisting of Junhyo Song, Jinger, Song Ji-eun, and Han Seon-hwa. They left a lasting impact on K-pop history by gaining massive popularity through highly addictive songs such as “Magic,” “Madonna,” “Shy Boy,” “Starlight Moonlight,” “Love Moves,” “Yuhu,” and “I’m in Love.”

However, new music releases ceased after the release of their fifth mini-album, “SECRET Summer,” in 2014. In 2016, member Han Seon-hwa left the group to focus on acting. Subsequently, Song Ji-eun expanded her career as a solo singer and actress, and in 2024, she married content creator Park Wi and has since been focusing on her family life. Although the group was not officially disbanded, its activities came to a practical halt in 2021 when their agency, TS Entertainment, shut down.

Song Ji-eun will not be participating in this Comeback. Instead, Junhyo Song and Jinger will form a trio with the new member and continue their activities. Interest from fans and the industry is high as SECRET returns after 12 years to see what they will present.
