PUNPU SHAONIAN CIIU Holds Debut 1st Anniversary Fan Meeting

On August 22, 2025, the global idol group PUNPU SHAONIAN CIIU, which officially debuted with its first EP album “Our Departure,” held a fan meeting titled “Summer Rooftop Party” in Shanghai, China, on the 29th of last month to commemorate its first anniversary.

The group enhanced the event’s uniqueness by designing segments centered around a rooftop party theme. They performed their latest song “Closer” in a band version along with other major hit tracks, as well as solo stages that showcased each of the five members’ individual styles, earning strong responses from fans. During the event, they reflected on the past year spent together with their supporters, creating a meaningful time for all involved.

The group intensified its activity momentum on August 4 by releasing its first mini album “Closer To ‘You’” along with the title track “Closer.” This album featured the group’s unique music genre, “C-Tro Pop,” which blends local retro aesthetics with modern pop sounds. By reinterpreting familiar memories through a Gen Z perspective, it captured fans’ hearts.

Expansion of Activities Since Debut

As part of promotions for their first mini album, PUNPU SHAONIAN CIIU expanded its influence through collaborations with local brands and large-scale offline events. They partnered with Fangte, a leading theme park brand in China, to hold special performances and fan-engaging activities in six different regions across the country, generating enthusiastic reactions. The group also widened its reach by serving as advertising models for the electric bicycle brand Xinil Electric Vehicle.

Entry into the Global Market

On August 22, they appeared at the “2026 TIMA” (TMELive International Music Awards), a major music awards show in the Chinese-speaking world held at the Hong Kong Kai Tak Stadium. There, they delivered energetic performances of songs from their new album, including “Step By Step,” as well as a remix of “Closer,” solidifying their presence as promising talents in the global music scene.

Composed of five members—Luo Yan, Huang Yuanjin, Bai Yuanhao, Wang Tianyi, and Liu Zexing—PUNPU SHAONIAN CIIU is the second local boy group launched by JYP China under the company’s localization strategy, “Globalization by Localization,” following BOYSTORY. By emphasizing their music style of “C-Tro Pop,” they are steadily establishing a strong identity for the group.
