Psy Directly Responds to Negative Comments About “Humppak Show” with “You’ll Know If You Come See It”

Psy directly responded to negative comments regarding his signature summer concert, “Humppak Show.” On the 30th of last month, he posted a video on social media showing the preparation process for “Psy Humppak Show Summerswag 2026,” which featured the final checks being done for the performance. One internet user left a harsh comment under this post saying, “It’s always the same songs with half the lyrics being ‘run,’ aren’t you tired of it? I don’t understand why people go.” This comment also included insults and contained strong criticism of the concert. Psy pinned this comment at the top and replied himself with, “You’ll know if you come see it,” adding a winking emoji to convey a playful attitude.

This year’s tour began on June 27th at the Uijeongbu Sports Complex and has been ongoing since then. Scheduled to take place in a total of 14 shows across 9 cities nationwide, the tour has already concluded in Uijeongbu, Daegu, Incheon, Gwacheon, and Wonju. Remaining shows are set to take place in Suwon, Gwangju, Busan, and Daejeon.

“Humppak Show” is Psy’s iconic summer concert that started in 2011. This concert series, which has continued for over 15 years, consists of four main elements: water jets from large water cannons, Psy’s hit songs, dazzling performances, and appearances by guest musicians. The experience of singing familiar songs while being drenched in water has always been considered the core appeal of this concert.

Critics have consistently pointed out that similar song selections and staging are repeated each year, leading to accusations that the concerts are monotonous. However, there is also the view that precisely this repetitive structure and predictable format are what bring joy to fans every year. Just like meeting an old friend, “Humppak Show” attracts fans with its consistent charm every summer.

Psy is currently performing “Humppak Show Summerswag 2026” and plans to showcase the concert’s appeal through the remaining shows.
