OUIBOYS Aim for Debut by Year’s End

WE Entertainment is launching a new boy group, OUIBOYS (provisional name), six years after the debut of WEi. The group announced through an official statement on the 9th that it is accelerating preparations with the goal of making its official debut by the end of this year.

Member Composition and Global Strategy OUIBOYS is an eight-member multinational boy group consisting of Seungjun, Anji, Ato, Siwan, Jungjae, Minseo, Seungwoo, and Masayoshi. WE Entertainment’s CEO, Wi Myung-hee, stated, “Leveraging each member’s individuality and skills, we plan to communicate with fans around the world through music, breaking down barriers of nationality and language.” She added, “We will introduce ourselves with high-quality music and performances that meet the expectations of fans both domestically and internationally.”

Pre-Debut Activities and Building Awareness Despite not yet debuting officially, OUIBOYS is raising its profile through comprehensive promotional efforts across online and offline platforms. The group has held surprise events at locations such as Songdo Art Hall, Lotte World, Hongdae&Sinchon, Jayang Station, and Busan Station to meet fans in person. Additionally, it has built a strong fan base early on by releasing various content like cover videos and challenges through its official social media channels. Notably, OUIBOYS recently uploaded a cover video of BTS’s “Boy In Luv” to its official YouTube channel, drawing attention for its precise choreography and meticulous control of pacing.

Debut Timeline and Planned Team Name Reveal OUIBOYS is putting in intense final preparations with the goal of debuting within the current year, and it plans to reveal the official group name at the appropriate time after the debut. As the new boy group from WE Entertainment in roughly six years since WEi, OUIBOYS has already attracted significant attention even before its official release.
