NC AI Advances Project to Create Next-Generation AI Idols

According to the K-AI model application cases released by the Ministry of Science and ICT on the 6th, NC AI’s media AI technology has been integrated into the “K-Content AI Innovation Leadership Project” hosted by the Korea Content Creation Agency (KOCCA). This integration will lead to the creation of new AI idols. Through this initiative, NC AI is fully committed to developing next-generation AI idols using artificial intelligence.

NC AI’s technology pipeline combines three core elements: it efficiently generates high-quality avatars, music video assets, and professionally crafted music. The results produced in this way are designed to be immediately usable across multiple platforms from the planning stage onward.

With the rapid growth of global fanbases and evolving demand, the traditional entertainment industry is facing limitations due to its production methods, which are constrained by time and space. The goal is to supplement this industry structure, which has relied solely on artists’ skills and planning capabilities, with AI technology. NC AI’s automated pipeline offers a technical solution to overcome these constraints.

The objective of this project is to establish the innovative format for creating next-generation K-POP idols as a global standard. It is expected that this will elevate the competitiveness of the K-content industry and enable Korea to move beyond being a mere content provider to leading the global content platform market.

The other K-AI application cases introduced alongside this announcement demonstrate the broader adoption of AI technology across various industries. These include LG AI Research Institute and LG CNS’s upgrades to AI tools for supporting police investigations, SK Telecom and KG Steel’s field testing of AI agents specialized for manufacturing, and Naver Cloud’s enhancements to AI services for the shipbuilding and marine industries.
