IVE’s Yujin Confirmed as MC for “2025 SBS Gayo Daejeon Summer” – Fourth Consecutive Year

IVE’s Leader Yujin has been selected as the MC for “2025 SBS Gayo Daejeon Summer.” Her agency, Starship Entertainment, announced on the 25th that she will host the event held over two days at Icheon KINTEX on the 26th and 27th. Since being first chosen as MC for the “Gayo Daejeon” in 2022, Yujin has hosted the event four times in total, including the 2023 and 2024 editions as well as last year’s “Gayo Daejeon Summer.” By this year, she has been invited as MC for four consecutive years, making it her fifth time leading the “Gayo Daejeon” series. Known for her steady hosting style and insightful commentary that drives live broadcasts forward, she has established herself as a flagship figure of the “Gayo Daejeon” event. In her remarks, Yujin said, “I am extremely happy and grateful to be part of ‘Gayo Daejeon’ again this year. I will prepare my best once more to deliver joyful energy to viewers during this hot summer season.” As IVE’s Leader, Yujin is recognized as a top K-pop “hexagonal idol” for her outstanding skills in singing, dancing, and variety shows. She has sung for the webtoon “The Great,” the film “Wish,” and the OST of the drama “One Day, They Will Grow Up.” She also demonstrated her musical talent by serving as the sole lyricist for the track “Heroine” on IVE’s first full-length album. She remains active in variety shows as well. On the recently concluded show “Pppung Pppung Earth Arcade 3,” she brought laughter with her concept-driven enthusiasm and unique personality, earning her an award in the female variety idol category at the “2025 Brand Customer Loyalty Awards.” Additionally, she showed professionalism by calmly handling audio transmission issues on stage at “Lollapalooza Paris” recently.
