"2025 MyK FESTA" Hosted by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism to Feature Large-Scale Hallyu Festival at Olympic Park from June 19–22

The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism is organizing the first large-scale comprehensive Hallyu festival this year, titled "2025 MyK FESTA." Taking place from June 19 to 22 in the Olympic Park area of Seoul, the event brings together global Hallyu fans and industry professionals through various programs such as K-POP concerts, international conferences, industry exhibitions, and export business meetings. "MyK FESTA" serves as a platform for cultural and industrial exchange, introducing the latest lifestyle trends centered around K-content to worldwide Hallyu fans interested in K-POP and online video services (OTT). It is expected to provide Hallyu fans with direct opportunities to experience Hallyu culture, while offering domestic and foreign companies potential for market expansion and international collaboration. The highlight of the festival are the K-POP concerts held at the K-Sport Dome (formerly the Olympic Gymnastics Stadium). Performances will take place on June 19 and June 21, the opening day and the second day of the event. On June 19, N.Flying, WAYV, Youngji, aespa, ILLIT, Hearts2Hearts, TNX, and Nine will perform on stage, while on June 21, Rie, Haze, NCT 10, Cheongha, Imujin, ITZY, B.I.O., and TNX will appear. With a lineup featuring popular K-POP singers as well as emerging artists shaping the future of the genre, it is anticipated that around 30,000 Hallyu fans from home and abroad will attend. On June 20, an international conference will be held, attended by domestic and foreign experts in the field of content and related industries. Mike Ban from Billboard, Danielle Jin, the Asia-Pacific Marketing President at Visa, Choi Jong-il, the CEO of Iconix, Lee Young-ah, in charge of strategic planning at Olive Young, Lee Do-yoon, the director of Netflix’s series "Severance Center," and Lee Jong-beom, the writer of the webtoon "Doctor Frost," will discuss the growth potential and scalability of the Hallyu content industry. BoA, considered a pioneer of Hallyu music, will serve as the host of the conference, drawing significant attention. Anyone interested can participate by making a reservation through Naver. On June 22, over 10 domestic art performance groups that have received acclaim on international stages, such as Akdan Gwangchil and Yuhu Scarcity, will showcase the elegance and excellence of K-culture. At the Handball Stadium, an exhibition and experience zone operated by around 100 domestic companies from various fields including dramas, webtoons, food, and lifestyle will be open from June 19 to 22. Major companies such as the three terrestrial broadcasters (KBS, MBC, SBS), the Animation Producers Association, Iconix, Jeonggwanjang, Maeil Dairy, LF Fashion, and Hyundai Outlets will participate, allowing visitors to directly experience a wide range of products and cultures based on K-content. At Hanyeol Square in Olympic Park, companies representing K-food will set up pop-up stores, enabling foreign tourists to experience Korean flavors they have only seen in videos. Popular food and beverage brands favored by younger generations, including Hi-Tech Jinro Beverage, Dong-A Pharmaceutical, What Are Bread, Cheong23, and Yogurt World, will be featured, presenting K-food that blends tradition with modern trends. During the event, a business export meeting will also be held, with around 160 domestic companies seeking to expand overseas markets and over 170 foreign buyers in attendance. To further enhance visitors’ experience of Korea’s diverse cultural attractions, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism will operate free shuttle buses running three times a day between Olympic Park and Dongdaemun Design Plaza, which is hosting the "2025 Korea Beauty Festival" simultaneously during this period. Meanwhile, regional Hallyu events held since May in four cities—Busan, Cheonan, Gyeongju, and Yeosu—have attracted a total of around 480,000 domestic and foreign visitors, contributing to the revitalization of local tourism and the further spread of Hallyu influence.
