1.23 Million Sign Petition for ENHYPEN’s Heeseung to Remain in the Group

Worldwide fans united to voice strong opposition to ENHYPEN’s Leader Heeseung leaving the group following news of his departure. Within two days of Billlie Lab announcing Heeseung’s transition to solo activities, the Change.org petition gathered over 1.23 million signatures. To date, the petition has received approximately 1.23 million signatures.

The petition was written in Korean, Japanese, and English, reflecting ENHYPEN’s global fanbase and key activity markets. Signers urged Billlie Lab and its parent company HYBE to allow Heeseung to maintain both his solo career and his role as a group member, preserving the seven-member lineup. The petition states, “We fully support Heeseung’s artistic growth and exploration as a solo artist, but his solo activities do not necessarily require him to leave the group.”

It adds, “Many artists across the K-POP industry successfully balance group and solo activities,” citing HYBE’s own artists as proof. Heeseung is described as “an essential member who shapes the group’s identity as a vocalist and performer,” with the petition emphasizing that “ENHYPEN’s strength has always come from all seven members growing together.” The petition calls on Billlie Lab to reconsider allowing Heeseung to develop his solo artistic skills without separating him from the group.

In a statement published in Billboard on March 11, Billlie Lab explained that “it is the most faithful approach for both ENHYPEN and Heeseung if he focuses entirely on his career as a solo artist, rather than pursuing solo activities within the group.”

Personal comments from fans were also included in the Change.org petition. A comment from fan Amanda received over 14,000 likes. Addressing Heeseung directly, Amanda wrote, “ENHYPEN is not the same without you,” highlighting that his voice, talent, and presence make the group special. She expressed support by stressing that “solo and group activities can coexist simultaneously.”
