BIGBANG Releases New Full-Group Song After 4 Years; World Tour to Begin in August

BIGBANG is set to release a new song as a full group for the first time in four years. According to industry insiders on the 7th, G-Dragon, Taeyang, and Daesung of the group are currently preparing the new track. The filming for the music video and various related content is scheduled to take place in the third week of July, with the schedules of the three members coordinated in advance to allow filming on the same days.

BIGBANG’s last full-group song was “Still Life,” released in April 2022. Top, who was a member at the time, participated in this track. Despite not having any official promotional activities, “Still Life” reached seventh place on Melon’s annual chart for 2022, South Korea’s largest music streaming platform. The song depicted BIGBANG’s long musical journey across the four seasons and served as Top’s final contribution to a BIGBANG studio album.

After Top left the group in June 2023, BIGBANG reorganized as a three-member unit. Following Top’s departure, G-Dragon, Taeyang, and Daesung each released solo songs and met their fans through individual tours. No new full-group songs were released during the more than three years after Top left, making this the first new song issued since the group returned to a three-member structure.

The new song is expected to be unveiled before BIGBANG’s debut anniversary on August 19th. Along with the release of the song, a large-scale world tour to commemorate the group’s 20th anniversary will commence. This world tour will mark the first full-group tour since 2017 and represent a global concert stage held after approximately nine years.

BIGBANG will kick off the tour on August 21st through 23rd at the Goyang Stadium in Gyeonggi Province with “BIGBANG 2026 World Tour in Goyang.” Following this, they plan to hold a total of 32 performances in 18 cities around the world, including North America, Europe, Oceania, and Asia. The concerts will primarily take place in giant stadiums and dome-sized venues to meet fans globally, with additional tour locations to be announced sequentially.

This world tour is a major project that showcases BIGBANG’s musical achievements and outstanding stage performance over the past 20 years. It will feature performances that encompass the group’s 20-year musical journey, along with their numerous hit songs.
