Park Bom Leaves Debut After 8 Years...Focusing on Health Recovery

2NE1 member Park Bom, 42, has terminated her exclusive contract with Debut Entertainment, the agency she has been associated with for eight years. On the 5th, Debut announced via social media that they reached a mutual agreement to end her exclusive contract after thorough discussions with her.

The agency explained that the reason for ending the contract was that Park Bom has been focusing on health recovery and rest recently, and they made this decision out of respect for her well-being and future career direction. Debut added that Park Bom has carried out meaningful activities as a solo artist throughout this time and expressed deep gratitude for the period they spent together and the efforts she demonstrated.

Park Bom debuted in 2009 as a member of the four-member girl group 2NE1 under YG Entertainment. She left YG in 2018 and transferred to Debut, and in 2024, she participated in reunion activities with her fellow members to celebrate 2NE1’s 15th anniversary, reuniting with fans.

However, Park Bom suspended all activities last August due to health issues, and it is expected that she will focus on sufficient rest and health recovery for the time being following the termination of this contract. The agency promised warm support, stating, “Although the exclusive contract has ended, we will sincerely cheer for Park Bom’s healthy journey and new beginnings ahead.”
