Yang Hyun-suk to Be Present at 2025 MAMA to Support TREASURE and BABYMONSTER

YG Entertainment is putting full effort into the “2025 MAMA Awards” set to take place at the Hong Kong Kai Tak Stadium on the 28th and 29th. Following TREASURE and BABYMONSTER, chief producer Yang Hyun-suk will also attend the event to personally back these two groups with outstanding performances. TREASURE will open the show with their “KPop Demon Hunters” stage. Having consistently carried out large-scale global tours since their debut and evolving into “performance-oriented artists,” TREASURE plans to deliver a powerful hip-hop vibe by staging their performance using songs by YG’s senior artists. They will kick off this year’s MAMA with the opening act of Chapter 1, which aims to spread excitement worldwide. BABYMONSTER will perform on the stage for the animated film “KPop Demon Hunters,” an official collaboration between MAMA and Netflix. Pharita, Ahyeon, and Rora will portray the film’s main trio of Huntrixes, delivering an original performance that bridges the world in the movie with reality. They are expected to captivate K-pop fans around the globe with their signature thrilling high notes and overwhelming performances, using the film’s iconic song “Golden.” Notably, chief producer Yang Hyun-suk will be present at the event in person. This marks his first appearance at MAMA in 11 years, since WINNER won the New Artist Award in 2014. Since both TREASURE and BABYMONSTER are positioned as YG’s next-generation IPs, Yang Hyun-suk decided to travel to Hong Kong personally to support the members so that this MAMA can serve as another opportunity for growth. Meanwhile, this year’s MAMA will be broadcast globally via various digital platforms, including Mnet Plus. The red carpet event will begin at 5:30 p.m. KST, followed by the main award ceremony starting at 7:30 p.m. KST.
