Verdi’s First Solo Exhibition in Korea – A Gathering of Stars from the Creative World

The opening party for graphic designer Verdi’s first large-scale solo exhibition in Korea, titled “I Believe in Me,” was held on April 23 at Lotte Museum in Songpa-gu, Seoul. Key figures from various industries such as music, fashion, and art attended the event, including G-Dragon, CL, Tarzzan, Shotaro, and Giselle, creating a networking space for global creative professionals.

This exhibition marked the first time Verdi’s work was thoroughly showcased in a Korean art museum. It featured around 350 pieces, including large-scale new sculptures centered on Verdi’s signature characters and graphics, along with drawings, neon artworks, and installation pieces. The layout was designed to provide a comprehensive experience of his style, which blurs the boundaries between street culture, fine art, and design.

At the opening party, an exhibition preview was held alongside VIP viewing sessions. The participating artists and celebrities engaged in natural interactions, and the subsequent after-party continued the lively atmosphere with light meals. Notably, the moment when G-Dragon and Tarzzan exchanged phone numbers became a topic of discussion, as their senior-junior relationship sparked interest in potential future collaborations.

G-Dragon, born in 1988, is 14 years older than Tarzzan, who was born in 2002. G-Dragon debuted in 2006 as a member of BIGBANG and is currently celebrating 20 years in the industry. Tarzzan made his official debut last June as part of the mixed-group All Day Project, where he has already topped various music charts, proving his strength as a rookie group. He also solidified his status as a solo artist by releasing the single “Medusa” in January.

This opening party went beyond merely marking the start of an exhibition; it served to demonstrate Verdi’s influence across fashion, music, and art. By connecting key figures from different fields under the name “Verdi,” it enhanced the possibilities for future global creative collaborations.
