Taemin Signs Exclusive Contract with Galaxy Corporation, Joining G-Dragon

Taemin has signed an exclusive contract with Galaxy Corporation. This move sees him join the AI entertainment technology company that also represents G-Dragon, actor Song Kang-ho, singer Kim Jong-kook, and others.

Galaxy Corporation announced on the 11th that it had entered into an exclusive deal with Taemin, stating it would provide full support to maximize synergy between them. This recruitment is part of the company’s strategic effort to create added value by integrating artists’ intellectual property with digital technologies.

Galaxy Corporation operates in the entertainment technology sector by combining cutting-edge technologies such as AI and robotics with entertainment content. It is the company behind Netflix’s original series “Physical:100” and focuses on developing innovative entertainment technology businesses through the integration of IP, media, and technology. Taemin is set to participate in various global projects that incorporate entertainment technology like AI and robotics.

Taemin’s singing career began in 2008 when he debuted as a member of SHINee. He became a key figure in the K-pop boom by releasing hit songs such as “Noona Neomu Yeppeo,” “Ring Ding Dong,” and “View.” After debuting as a solo artist in 2014, he solidified his status with tracks like “Goeudo (Danger),” “Move,” and “Want,” earning recognition as a versatile artist due to his outstanding live performance and dancing skills.

He completed his first solo world tour, “Ephemeral Gaze,” starting at the Incheon Inspire Arena last August, with a total of 37 performances across 20 countries in Asia, the United States, and Europe.

Taemin’s recent changes in agency have been rapid. In April 2024, he left SM Entertainment after 16 years and joined Big Planet Made Ent, but he terminated his contract just 1 year and 10 months later.

He is set to make history as the first South Korean solo male singer to perform at Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival, the largest music festival in the United States, which will take place from April 11 to 18 in Indio, California. G-Dragon’s BIGBANG will also appear at this year’s Coachella.
