SHINee to Release Sixth Mini Album ‘Atmos’ on June 1

SHINee will release their sixth mini album, ‘Atmos’, at 6 p.m. on June 1. Themed around love, longing, and the lingering traces of emotions, the album is filled with imagery of rain and sophisticated pop production.

The album consists of six tracks, including the title track ‘Atmos’. ‘HOURS’ is a punk-pop track influenced by disco, featuring a groovy bass line and a half-time rhythm that create an elegant yet nostalgic atmosphere. Its lyrics express not only shared memories and romances from the past but also a desire to gather future moments to be spent with a loved one.

Another track, ‘Still Raining’, creates a dreamy R&B pop vibe through plucking synths and a relaxed instrumental arrangement. This song captures the emotional shock that arrives unexpectedly, like a sudden downpour, while reflecting on memories that, though brief, last forever.

SHINee is one of SM Entertainment’s long-running projects, known for balancing polished dance productions with emotionally rich storytelling. This mini album marks the first release in about a year to feature all members, demonstrating how veteran K-pop artists are returning to more mature soundscapes and reflective themes as they seek to reconnect with their loyal fanbase.

SM Entertainment recently unveiled moodful teaser images showing the members standing together against a rainy backdrop, which generated significant buzz among fans even before the album’s release. Additionally, SHINee is set to hold three concerts in Seoul to celebrate their 18th anniversary, titled ‘Shinee World VIII (The Invert)’.
