Samsung-Netflix Collaboration Offers Free Galaxy Themes Based on “KPop Demon Hunters”

Samsung Electronics and Netflix are releasing free Galaxy themes inspired by Netflix’s popular animated series “KPop Demon Hunters.” Galaxy themes are specialized customization features for Galaxy devices that allow users to tailor their lock screens, background images, icons, and other elements as part of a unified package. Galaxy smartphone users can download the “KPop Demon Hunters” themes through the Galaxy Store from August 13 to September 12 to apply them to their devices. The collection consists of 11 designs in total, including one special theme and 10 background image themes, all created to reflect the series’ unique visuals. Users on Galaxy smartphones can encounter popular characters from the film such as HUNTR/X, Hunter, Rumi, Fei, E-Tion, Kei, May, Jeewon, Hyunji, and Annie. The special theme package is only compatible with Galaxy smartphones running Android OS 15 or higher and may not be available on certain models. The background image themes, on the other hand, are compatible with Galaxy smartphones across all Android OS versions. Existing Netflix users can obtain the themes simply by opening the Netflix app on the promotion page within the Galaxy Store, while users without the Netflix app need to download it from the Galaxy Store first before installing and using it. This collaboration marks the first step in a regular partnership between Samsung Electronics and Netflix. The two companies plan to work together in various ways in the future to enable global fans to experience content more closely. A Samsung Electronics official stated, “We are pleased to offer Galaxy users the opportunity to use these popular theme contents through this collaboration with Netflix. We will continue to expand our OTT partnerships to provide more diverse content going forward.” The promotion page is accessible in South Korea, the United States, the United Kingdom, France, Germany, Brazil, Mexico, Canada, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Indonesia, Turkey, and other regions, with the start dates varying depending on local conditions.
