Samsung Electronics Releases Free “KPop Demon Hunters” Galaxy Themes; Expands Ongoing Collaboration with Netflix

Samsung Electronics has partnered with Netflix’s popular animated series “KPop Demon Hunters” to distribute 11 custom themes specifically for Galaxy devices at no cost. Galaxy themes are a service exclusive to Galaxy smartphones that allow users to customize the lock screen, home screen, Always-On Display (AOD), call screen, message screen, and icons all at once. These themes can be downloaded from a dedicated promotion page on Galaxy Store from August 13 to September 12. Existing Netflix users can unlock the themes immediately by opening the Netflix app on the Galaxy Store promotion page, while users without the Netflix app can install it through the same page before accessing the themes. The theme collection consists of 1 special theme and 10 character-based wallpapers, featuring popular characters from the movie such as the K-POP group Huntrix, along with Rumi, Joy, Jinwoo, Duffy, and Seosi. Each theme is closely aligned with the visual identity of the film and is designed to deliver a consistent and visually appealing user experience while maintaining Galaxy’s performance and usability standards. This collaboration is particularly noteworthy as it marks the first step in a regular partnership between Samsung Electronics and Netflix. The two companies plan to introduce various other initiatives in the future to enable global fans to engage with content more closely. A Samsung Electronics official stated, “We are pleased to offer Galaxy users the opportunity to experience these popular theme contents through this collaboration with Netflix. We will continue to expand our OTT partnerships to provide more diverse content going forward.” This move is part of Samsung Electronics’ strategy to enhance content-based experiences that enrich daily life, reflecting its efforts to deliver personalized user interfaces that resonate with a global audience.
