Park Jin-young to Release “Said & Done” on the 13th, Album Filled with Emotional Memories

Singer and actor Park Jin-young will release his second mini-album, “Said & Done,” on the 13th. This album weaves together the emotions and memories he has carried for a long time into a cohesive narrative, showcasing an expanded musical universe as a solo artist.

Since his time in GOT7, Park Jin-young established a unique style through his vocals and performances. Building on his emotive tone and steady expressive ability, he defined his direction as a solo artist starting with the single “DIVE” in 2021, and then shared intimate emotions and personal stories through his first solo EP, “Chapter 0: WITH,” in 2023. Since then, he has continued to build his own narrative by balancing music and acting.

“Said & Done” centers on the emotions Park Jin-young has drawn from the years of his life. Childhood memories, musical moods that evoke specific eras, and fragments of emotions that have faded over time are connected into one story within the album. The album title carries the meaning that “love is ultimately what remains even after all words and stories have passed.” Rather than providing fixed answers, it gently reminds listeners of the emotions they still wish to hold onto in their own lives.

The musical composition is diverse. It includes danceable pop that reinterprets 1990s vibes in a modern way, R&B with sophisticated brass sounds, and dreamy dream pop. A key feature is how Park Jin-young expands his emotional range through various soundscapes rather than sticking to one style. The lineup of collaborators is also noteworthy. He worked with Won-pil from the band DAY6 on “Seol-ilgeop,” collaborated with singer-songwriter Choi Yoo-ri on “Oe-sarang,” and achieved a richer sound through his partnership with producer Gureum.
