K-pop Concerts to Be Held at Busan Port Festival…SUPER JUNIOR-D&E, ITZY Among the Performers

Busan City will host the “18th Busan Port Festival” from May 30 to 31. Initiated in 2008 to revisit the historical significance and symbolism of Busan Port, this festival has been held annually on Sea Day (May 31). This year, it has expanded its K-pop-related programs significantly by linking up with MyK FESTA, a comprehensive Hallyu festival organized by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism. The festival takes place at the Busan Port International Passenger Terminal, Bukhang Waterfront Park, and the Yeongdo National Marine Museum area. On the first day, May 30, at 11:30 a.m., a conference themed “Artificial Intelligence (AI) and the Music Industry” will be held at the Wyndham Grand Busan. Experts from various fields will discuss the impact of AI technology on the music industry and its future prospects. The highlight of the festival is the K-pop concert scheduled for 7 p.m. on the same day at the outdoor parking lot of the Busan Port International Passenger Terminal. Designed to accommodate around 10,000 spectators, this performance will feature groups with global fanbases such as SUPER JUNIOR-D&E, CNBLUE, N.Flying, and ITZY, along with rising popular musicians like Gyeongseo, Dorie, and JoJez. Ticket sales for the concert will begin at 7 p.m. on the 7th through Melon Ticket, with detailed purchase instructions released via a Melon Ticket announcement at 6 p.m. on the 2nd. To serve as a spectacular finale to the first day of the festival, a fireworks display over Busan Port, set against the beautiful night view, is expected to create unforgettable memories for attendees. On the second day, May 31, activities such as Global Port Park, boat tours, and K-pop cover dance performances will take place at Bukhang Waterfront Park. Various citizen-participation programs, including a mission stamp tour, will be offered at the Yeongdo National Marine Museum area.
