Jung Kook to Be the Most Searched K-pop Group Idol on Korean YouTube by 2026

Jung Kook was named the most searched male group idol on Korean YouTube by 2026. According to official accounts from HYBE’s subsidiary music analysis platforms “About Music” and “Pop Planet,” he will rank highest among group idol members in searches on Korean YouTube that year. He held this position even during his military service in 2024, and in 2025 he reached second place among all male idols on Korean YouTube.

Jung Kook’s recognition on the global stage is even more overwhelming. On American YouTube, he was the most searched K-pop male group idol member for two consecutive years in 2024 and 2025. In Japanese YouTube, he was recorded as the most searched male group idol member over a 10-year period. He has been the most searched K-pop idol on YouTube platforms worldwide for five consecutive years and also remains the most searched K-pop idol on Google, the world’s largest search engine, for the same duration.

Jung Kook’s influence is prominent on social media as well. On Tumblr, he has been the most searched K-pop star for five consecutive years. On TikTok, his personal hashtag #jungkook has accumulated 10 billion views, making him the first solo artist to achieve this milestone with a personal hashtag. He has also surpassed 40 million posts on TikTok, a record that is both the first and only in the platform’s history. On Pinterest, he remains the most searched K-pop idol.

Last year (2025), Jung Kook ranked third in the global list of most mentioned individuals. With 4.6M mentions, he came after Cristiano Ronaldo (7.7M mentions) and Lionel Messi (6.9M mentions). Even while serving in the military, he remained the most mentioned solo artist worldwide.

BTS, of which Jung Kook is a member, is preparing to release its fifth studio album. The album’s lead single “Swim” has entered Billboard charts, and BTS has made it onto the Billboard Hot 100 for five consecutive weeks.
