IVE Returns with Second Full-Length Album “REVIVE+” After 2 Years and 10 Months

IVE (Yujin, Gaeul, Lay, Wonyoung, Liz, Leeseo) announced the release of their second full-length album, “REVIVE+.” During a release showcase held on the 23rd at Yes24 Live Hall in Gwangjin-gu, Seoul, the members performed the title track and other tracks included on the album. This marks their first full-length album release since “I’ve IVE” in April 2023, totaling 2 years and 10 months since their previous full-length work.

The title tracks for this album are “BLACKHOLE” and “BANG BANG.” “BLACKHOLE,” the title track, is a shuffle-based song set against a cinematic atmosphere. Its expansive spatial feel and filmic sound textures deliver a high level of immersion and addictiveness. The production team used the image of a “black hole where extinction and birth coexist” to represent how IVE perceives the present and change, while the sound structure illustrates the direction of this second full-length album.

The second full-length album contains a total of 12 tracks. In addition to “Hush,” “Stuck In Your Head,” “Fireworks,” and “HOT COFFEE,” it includes solo tracks by each member: Wonyoung’s “8 (EIGHT),” Gaeul’s “Odd,” Leeseo’s “Super ICY,” Liz’s “Unreal,” Lay’s “In Your Heart,” and Yujin’s “Force.”

The members emphasized the significance of this album. Yujin explained, “The album title means ‘rekindling the fire’ or ‘reigniting.’ It not only represents reignition but also carries the ambition to spread the blazing flames wider and farther.” Gaeul shared her feelings, saying, “It’s special to return with a full-length album after almost three years. We strived to show a version of IVE that keeps growing and evolving without stopping.” Lay added, “I’m proud because we managed to capture everything we’ve built under the name IVE in this album in a more impressive way that truly reflects who we are.”

This second full-length album focuses on expanding the message conveyed. Liz explained, “If our previous messages centered around ‘me,’ this time we’re delivering a message that expands from ‘me’ to ‘us.’” Wonyoung said, “I hope people see ‘us’ not just as members of IVE, but also as including everyone who listens to our songs.”

The title track “BANG BANG,” which was released in advance, received positive responses even before its official release. Wonyoung expressed her affection for the track, saying, “I aimed to highlight IVE’s confident charm. It holds deep meaning for me as well.” Gaeul said, “I’m happy that ‘BANG BANG’ is already gaining popularity. We’ll keep up this momentum and work hard for ‘BLACKHOLE’ as well.”

Starting with their debut track “ELEVEN,” IVE has successively released hit songs such as “After LIKE,” “LOVE DIVE,” “I AM,” “Kitsch,” “Baddie,” “ATTITUDE,” “HEYA,” “REBEL HEART,” and “XOXZ,” solidifying their status as a leading girl group in K-pop.
