IVE Releases Highlight Medley for Their 2nd Full Album “REVIVE+”; Dual Title Tracks and Member Solo Songs Unveiled

IVE released a highlight medley video for their 2nd full album “REVIVE+” to intensify anticipation for their Comeback. Their agency, Starship Entertainment, posted the highlight medley on IVE’s official YouTube channel on the 16th, and made the audio available via Melon Music Wave at 8 p.m. on the same day. The released medley includes highlights from a total of 12 tracks, such as the album’s dual title tracks “BLACKHOLE” and “BANG BANG,” along with solo tracks by all members. The music features a variety of genres including intense EDM, POP, and band sounds, signaling the high density and scale expected from a full-length album. The title track “BLACKHOLE” has drawn attention due to its dreamy and cinematic sound along with Rie’s lyrics saying, “Anything you desire will come true.” As the core track of the album and one that redefines the concept of “us,” it was written by Song Ji-eum and Hwang Yu-bin (XYXX), who have been involved in crafting IVE’s narrative since their debut single “ELEVEN.” Meanwhile, “BANG BANG,” which has received widespread love since its early release, forms another pillar of the album with its strong energy and straightforward sound, creating anticipation for the contrast and synergy between the two title tracks. Tracks of various genres such as “Hush,” “Stuck In Your Head,” “Fireworks,” and “HOT COFFEE” demonstrate IVE’s broad musical spectrum. This album adds extra significance by including solo songs from all members. Jang Won-young’s “8” is an EDM track that evokes tension, while Ga-eul’s “Odd” features dreamy mid-bass vocals. Lee Seo is set to deliver energy and atmosphere with “Super Icy,” and Rie will present “Unreal” with its alternative rock texture. Wonyoung contributed “In Your Heart,” which features lyrics in three languages, while Yujin included “Force” with its intense bass lines. Parts of these solo songs were revealed during the Seoul show of their second world tour “SHOW WHAT I AM” held in October last year, and Ga-eul, Rie, Jang Won-young, Rie, and Lee Seo also participated in writing the lyrics for their respective solo tracks. The 2nd full album “REVIVE+” expands the narrative that has previously centered on “I” to a perspective of “us,” conveying confidence in the ability to move forward in more directions without stopping. IVE will make their official Comeback on the 23rd with the title track “BLACKHOLE.”
