IU Sets May Comeback Date, Casts Cha Eunwoo in New Music Video

Idol and actress IU, who recently completed filming for the drama “What Life Gives Me,” officially announced her comeback in May. Her agency, IDAM Entertainment, stated that IU is preparing a new album with a release target of May. The most notable aspect of this comeback is the cast list for the new song’s music video. Cha Eunwoo, a member of ASTRO, has been confirmed to make a cameo appearance in IU’s new music video. IU’s agency officially confirmed that Cha Eunwoo will appear in a cameo role. This is not the first time IU and Cha Eunwoo have collaborated. The two stars worked together earlier this year on a photoshoot for the luxury jewelry brand Chaumet. IU released her full-length album “The Winning” in February 2024, and the music video for its track “Love Wins All” featured a special appearance by BTS’s V, which gained significant popularity. This collaboration with Cha Eunwoo is also expected to draw high interest from fans. Meanwhile, IU was nominated for Best Actress in a Drama category at the 61st Baeksang Arts Awards for “What Life Gives Me,” but the award went to Kim Tae-ri for “The Girl Who Became a Star.” However, “What Life Gives Me” received the honor of winning Best Work as a Netflix drama.
