IU’s May Comeback Music Video to Feature ASTRO’s Cha Eunwoo in a Cameo Role

IU is preparing for a comeback in May, with ASTRO’s Cha Eunwoo set to appear in her music video as a cameo. IU’s agency, EDAM Entertainment, announced that “IU is working on a new album with a May comeback as her goal, and Cha Eunwoo will make a cameo appearance.” This musical comeback marks the release of new music more than one year after her EP ‘The Winning’ was released in February 2024. ‘The Winning’ included the track ‘Love Wins All,’ for which BTS V appeared in the music video. IU recently received praise for her dual role as her three-year-old daughter Geummyeong and the adult Eunseon in the Netflix drama ‘Life Is Beautiful.’ The drama concluded on March 28, with her versatile acting skills and intense emotional delivery receiving high acclaim. The collaboration with Cha Eunwoo has already generated significant interest. IU and Cha Eunwoo previously worked together in a photoshoot for the luxury jewelry brand Chaumet, further raising fans’ expectations. Following their collaboration on the ‘Love Wins All’ music video with BTS V, the partnership between IU and Cha Eunwoo in a music video is attracting considerable attention. IU is also set to appear alongside actor Byun Woo-seok in the MBC drama ‘The Wife of the 21st Century King (tentative title),’ which is scheduled to air in 2026.
