Im Young-woong Maintains 253 Consecutive Weeks at No. 1 on Idol Chart

Singer Im Young-woong has set a new record by remaining at No. 1 in the Idol Chart’s rating ranking for 253 consecutive weeks. In the tally for the fourth week of January 2026 (January 26 to February 1), Im Young-woong secured 316,752 votes, keeping his position as the top voter. This continues his streak of holding the No. 1 spot without interruption for approximately 4 years and 10 months since early 2021, once again demonstrating the strong support from his fandom, “Youngwoong Era.”

In the “Likes” category, which reflects the intensity of fan participation, Im Young-woong also recorded the highest score at 31,825. This figure goes beyond simple vote counts and serves as an indicator of fans’ genuine affection and enthusiasm, clearly showing just how dominant Im Young-woong is on the Idol Chart. Maintaining such high numbers within a fan community with limited voting rights reflects the group’s organizational strength and passion.

Recently, Im Young-woong generated buzz among fans by releasing a food review video titled “Dubai Chewy Cookies (Duchunku)” on his official YouTube channel. “Duchunku” is a dessert created by transforming last year’s highly popular Dubai chocolates into cookie form, featuring pistachio spread and crispy Middle Eastern noodles called kadayf to enhance its unique texture. At the beginning of the video, Im Young-woong admitted honestly, “I don’t know what flavor it tastes like.” However, he soon showed a surprising charm by saying, “As I kept eating it, it became delicious. Really delicious,” as he grew fascinated by its addictive taste. His down-to-earth appearance, with chocolate powder on his lips and a thumbs-up, brought great laughter and joy to his fans.

Im Young-woong will hold concerts from February 6 to 8 at Halls 1 and 2 of the first exhibition hall at Busan BEXCO. As part of his nationwide tour, he plans to meet and interact directly with his fans.
