HYBE’s New Label ABD Reveals Name of Its First Girl Group, TUIDE

ABD, the new label under HYBE Music Group, has unveiled the name of its first girl group. On July 20, ABD opened an official social media account for the group under the name TUIDE and released a promotional video featuring the team’s logo.

The name TUIDE is derived from “Tune the tide,” which means “to adjust the flow.” The agency explained that it conveys the idea of various personalities and trends coming together in harmony. The group consists of seven members from different countries: Seohee, Seoyeon, Lena, Jia, Saki, Sea, and Lee Hae-nui.

ABD is a new label established as part of HYBE’s multi-label strategy, with TUIDE marking its first artist debut. ABD’s name stands for “A Bold Dream,” reflecting a creative approach that “imagines D instead of C after A and B, emphasizing flexibility and fresh thinking.” Noh Ji-won, who previously served as the head of artist planning at Pledis, has been appointed as ABD’s representative.

The overall production of TUIDE is handled by Han Sung-soo, the master professional who has produced groups such as SEVENTEEN, After School, IZ*ONE, and TWS. ABD stated that “the TUIDE members will freely express their individuality while seamlessly blending together to deliver a harmonious sound.”

TUIDE’s official Instagram account will remain private starting from July 21 for the time being. HYBE plans to debut TUIDE in the second half of this year.
