BTS World Tour Kickoff Show to Be Broadcast Simultaneously in Theaters Worldwide

BTS is streaming the opening show of its world tour globally in theaters to mark its return to stages after three years. The performances on April 11 in Goyang and April 18 in Tokyo will be shown simultaneously in theaters around the world as part of a global cinema event titled “BTS WORLD TOUR ‘ARIRANG’ LIVE VIEWING.” Tickets go on sale at 8 a.m. Eastern Time on February 25, with both the Goyang and Tokyo shows scheduled to be broadcast twice in each region.
This tour supports BTS’s faith-themed album “ARIRANG,” its first release in four years, and is expected to set a record for the highest number of tour dates among K-pop artists. RM, Suga, Jin, j-hope, Jimin, V, and Jung Kook will perform 82 times across 34 cities in Asia, North and South America, Australia, Europe, and the United Kingdom. Mark Allenby, CEO of Trafalgar Releasing, said, “The announcement of BTS WORLD TOUR ARIRANG sparked unprecedented global demand, and we are proud to bring one of the year’s most significant cultural moments to theater audiences,” adding that more screening dates are planned for this year.

BTS will release its fifth studio album “ARIRANG” on March 20. On March 21, Netflix will stream “BTS Comeback Live: ARIRANG,” which features footage from their first performance at Gwanghwamun Square, a historic site in Seoul. On March 27 of the same month, a feature documentary titled “BTS: The Return” will also be available on Netflix. This group tour, the first in about four years since the “Permission to Dance on Stage” tour in 2021–2022, will take place on a 360-degree stage.
