BTS Returns to Busan for Debut Anniversary Live Viewing on June 13

BTS will take the stage in Busan for the first time since enlisting in the military in 2022. Ahead of the “BTS World Tour Arirang IN Busan” concert scheduled for June 12 and 13 at the Busan Asiad Main Stadium, it is expected that over 100,000 tourists will arrive from both domestic and international locations.

Of particular note is the live viewing event. June 13 marks BTS’s debut anniversary, and the concert held in Busan on that day will be broadcast simultaneously in theaters around the world. The event will be shown as a live cinema experience in more than 4,000 theaters across 80 countries and regions, with broadcasts scheduled according to local time in each area. This marks the third live viewing in the “ARIRANG” world tour, following those held in Goyang (April) and Tokyo (April).

The global success of the “ARIRANG” album has heightened expectations for this concert. The album debuted at number one on the Billboard 200 chart with 641,000 units sold, representing the highest weekly sales volume for the group since 2014. It also set a new record as the best-selling album as of 2026, with 3.98 million copies sold on its first day. All 14 tracks from the album entered the top positions on the Spotify Global Top 50 chart as well.

The local retail industry in Busan is preparing to welcome the estimated 100,000 tourists. Six Lotte department stores and outlets in Busan will host a “K-WAVE Shopping Week” focused on K-beauty, fashion, and food. Shinsegae Department Store Centum City will reopen the pop-up store that was featured during the concert in Gwanghwamun in March, while Hyundai Department Store’s Connect Hyundai Busan branch will organize a “K-Street Festival” featuring various K-fashion brands. Convenience stores are also expanding their inventory by offering products and benefits tailored for foreigners.

The “ARIRANG” world tour is the largest tour by a Korean artist to date. It will feature 85 concerts in 34 cities and last approximately 11 months. After the Busan concert, BTS will perform at the FIFA World Cup final halftime show on July 19 at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey, USA, alongside Shakira and Madonna.
