BTS Begins Intensive Studio Work in Los Angeles After Completing Military Service

The seven members of BTS moved to Los Angeles shortly after finishing their military service in mid-2025 and began living together in one house to start new music projects. This marks their first time living in the same space since 2019 as a reunited group.

BTS, composed of RM, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, V, and Jung Kook, follows a strict schedule. They train together at the gym in the morning, and from 1 p.m. to 8 p.m. after lunch, they work in the studio collaborating with various composers and producers on new songs. RM explained that they work six days a week just like during regular weekdays.

Formed by Big Hit Entertainment (now HYBE) in 2010, BTS has sold over 5 million albums and accumulated 104 billion streams worldwide. The group has been nominated for Grammy Awards, reached number one on both the Billboard 200 album chart and the Billboard Hot 100 single chart, and performed on a United Nations stage.

Meanwhile, to support BTS’s comeback tour, the South Korean accommodation-sharing platform Wihoom launched the “K-POP Stay 2026” service. It plans to place foreign fans in homes owned by Korean citizens in line with BTS’s ARIRANG World Tour dates in Seoul (Gwanghwamun on March 21), Goyang (Sports Complex Stadium from April 9 to 12), and Busan (from June 12 to 13).

Wihoom intends to set a price cap to prevent skyrocketing costs by ensuring accommodation fees do not exceed twice the market rate of the previous year. Volunteer hosts will only receive expenses such as cleaning costs, while paid hosts can operate legally through a government-approved regulatory sandbox program. Recruitment for hosts in Seoul will take place from February 13 to February 28, with the goal of finding around 200 people who own spare space.
