BTS’s Comeback Accelerates HYBE’s April Wave of Multiple Releases

With BTS returning after 3 years and 9 months, artists under HYBE are set to release new music one after another throughout April. Teams with varying generations and concepts within the group will compete during this period, creating a more intense “internal competition” landscape than ever before.

TOMORROW X TOGETHER, also under Big Hit Music—the same label as BTS—will release their eighth mini-album, “7TH YEAR: When the Wind Stops for a Moment in the Thorns,” on April 13. This marks their first new release since all members renewed their contracts last August, making it particularly noteworthy. CORTIS, another artist from the same label, will first unveil the title track on April 20, followed by the official release of their second mini-album, “Green Green,” on May 4.

Artists from other labels under HYBE will also join the April comeback wave. The girl group LE SSERAFIM aims to achieve further success based on their global popularity. TWS and ILLIT have also announced comebacks in April, completing the pattern of multiple teams with distinct charms competing simultaneously and thus solidifying the “HYBE internal competition” scenario.

Analysts suggest these consecutive April releases are linked to BTS’s long-awaited full-group comeback. It is also interpreted as a strategic timing move to capitalize on the renewed global interest in K-pop sparked by BTS’s return.
