BLACKPINK’s Lisa captured global attention on the main stage during the second day of Coachella.

On the 18th (local time), Lisa appeared as a special guest for Anyma, a top-tier global EDM artist, during the second day of the “2026 Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival” held in Indio, California. She performed her new song “Bad Angel,” using an innovative stage presentation to take control of the Coachella atmosphere.

The performance featured immersive installation art that combined metaphors from ancient mythology and classical art—such as Michelangelo’s “David” and Medusa—with cutting-edge 3D rendering and laser technology. As Lisa walked onto the stage wearing a shimmering sheer dress, resembling a runway walk, a giant holographic angel appeared above her, delivering a powerful impact to both on-site attendees and YouTube viewers worldwide.

In particular, Lisa’s appearance with white hair instantly dominated social media. The scene showing Lisa rendered in CGI facing off against the real Lisa via large LED screens was described as “surreal.” When the vivid version of “Bad Angel” descended into the intricately crafted virtual paradise of “ÆDEN,” it demonstrated that technological elements could never fully replicate the vitality of live performance.

Social media erupted with excitement. Fans praised the performance, saying it was “Absolute Cinema,” and commented, “A dark stage, sharp energy, and angelic chaos. Lisa executed this task perfectly.” Immediately after the show, Lisa topped global trending searches, while “Bad Angel” has already reached 10 million views on YouTube and 10.4 million streams on Spotify.

This collaboration did not start smoothly. Anyma’s ÆDEN world premiere was originally scheduled to take place on the main stage on the Friday of the first day, the 10th, but it was canceled due to strong winds that disrupted stage setup. However, Coachella made an exception by rescheduling the performance for the second day to accommodate Lisa and Anyma, ensuring their show could go ahead.

This stage performance holds special significance for Lisa. By performing at Coachella for the second consecutive year—following 2025—she became the first K-pop artist to do so. Aside from Lisa, the collaboration featured notable guests such as Muse’s Matt Bellamy, singer-songwriter Joji, and rapper Swae Lee, leading to praise that it opened new horizons for dance music.
