BLACKPINK’s Jisoo’s Agency Declares Zero Tolerance for Family-Related Rumors, Stating They Have No Connection to the Artist or Company

BLISSU, the agency representing BLACKPINK’s Jisoo, issued an official statement addressing recent family-related rumors spreading online, explicitly stating that “the matters currently being raised have absolutely no connection to the artist or BLISSU.” On the 20th, Hyunjae Kim from Kim & Chang Law Firm, who serves as BLISSU’s legal representative, emphasized in a press release that online claims linking Jisoo and her agency to these family affairs constitute “unverified speculation or outright false information.”

Following reports in the media about the incident, speculation spread across online communities and social media platforms that Person A was Jisoo’s biological older brother. This led to concerns that Jisoo and her agency might also be involved in the matter.

The agency took a clear stance of distancing itself from these allegations. The legal representative explained, “The artist began her Trainee career at a young age and has lived independently for a long time, separated from her family. She is in no position to be aware of or involved in that person’s private life.” They further added, “To date, there has never been any instance where a family member received compensation from BLISSU or participated in decision-making.”

The agency also completely denied the “family-run” theory raised by some media outlets. They stated, “While the artist did receive limited advice and acted as a messenger to convey messages from family members during BLISSU’s founding discussions, there has never been any instance where a family member received compensation or participated in decision-making from that time until now.” BLISSU then emphasized that it has always been operated completely independently, with no involvement from family members.

The legal representative clarified, “Claims suggesting that the person in question is part of BLISSU’s management team or CEO are entirely false. It is clearly stated that this person has no legal or managerial relationship with BLISSU at present.” They added, “BLISSU and the artist are providing no financial or legal support to this person, nor do they plan to do so in the future.”

The agency declared a firm stance against those who create and spread malicious and repeated posts. The legal representative warned, “All possible civil and criminal legal actions will be taken immediately against those who spread false information and defamatory content, those who misuse the artist’s name, portrait, or image in unrelated matters, and those who report speculative content as facts without verification.” They specifically emphasized that “there will be no leniency or settlement, only a strict response.”
