BLACKPINK’s Jennie Sets Global Record with Her First Solo Album “Ruby” – Achieving 4 Music Show Wins and 3 Billboard Chart Entries

BLACKPINK’s Jennie’s first solo regular album, “Ruby,” has dominated major charts both domestically and internationally, establishing a new standard for K-pop female solo artists. Jennie’s title track, “like JENNIE,” secured the number one spot on Mnet’s “M Countdown” without her appearing on the show three days ago, enabling her to achieve 4 music show wins. Written and composed by Jennie herself, “like JENNIE” emphasizes her individuality and originality, depicting her as someone who shines confidently while maintaining her unique identity, walks her own path with determination, and asserts that no one can take her place. “Ruby” has also delivered remarkable results on international charts. With this album, Jennie made it onto the U.S. Billboard 200 main album chart for three consecutive weeks. It reached third place on the UK Official Album Chart’s Top 100 (as of March 14) and remained on the chart for three straight weeks. On the Official Singles Chart, “like JENNIE” peaked at 36th position, while the album “Ruby” reached its highest rank of third in the Top 100. Through “Ruby,” Jennie recorded the highest initial sales volume among K-pop female solo artists in 2025, at 661,130 copies. Even more noteworthy is that she became the first K-pop female solo artist to have three songs—“Handlebars (feat. Dua Lipa),” “like JENNIE,” and “XtraL”—enter the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 main singles chart simultaneously. Jennie’s global activities will continue. As a solo artist, she will perform at the largest music festival in the United States, the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival, on the 13th and 20th.
