BLACKPINK Confirms New Album Release in December... First Full-Group Album in Nearly 3 Years

BLACKPINK is currently working on the final stages of production for their new album set to be released in December. A representative from YG Entertainment said in an interview with MyDaily on the 16th, “Since this is an album BLACKPINK is releasing after a long time, they are putting in their best efforts to ensure it reaches the highest quality,” adding, “Detailed information including the release date will be shared through official promotions.” The statement from YG came after Xports News reported that BLACKPINK would release their new album in mid-December. BLACKPINK had initially planned to make a Comeback in October or November but changed their schedule. BLACKPINK’s last full-group album was their second studio album, “BORN PINK,” released in September 2022. They subsequently released a new song titled “JUMP” in July, but that was in digital single format. Therefore, if this December album is officially released, it will mark their first album release in nearly 3 years. As BLACKPINK’s new album is being completed after such a long wait, fan anticipation is growing steadily.
