BIGBANG Makes Debut at Coachella, Announcing Start of 20th Anniversary World Tour in August

K-pop legend BIGBANG performed as headliners at Coachella, the largest music festival in the United States. The current lineup of G-Dragon, Taeyang, and Daesung made their first appearance on the Coachella stage, officially marking the beginning of their 20th anniversary world tour.

To celebrate their 20th anniversary, BIGBANG performed their signature hits during this Coachella show. The setlist began with tracks like “Bang Bang Bang,” “Fantastic Baby,” and “Sober,” followed by hits from various eras such as “Loser,” “Haru Haru,” and “Lie.” Notably, Daesung delivered rare genre performances by presenting trot songs like “Hando Chogwa” and “I Sunsin-eun Eodi Gyesinaga,” a style seldom seen on K-pop stages. Solo performances by Taeyang with “Ringa Ringa” and G-Dragon with “Power” also took place, along with their collaborative track “Good Boy.” The concert concluded with “Still Life.”

During the performance, G-Dragon shouted to the audience, “This is not just a comeback, it’s a reset,” and declared at the end, “We’re back.” Daesung echoed these words by saying, “This is not just a comeback, it’s a reset,” expressing their determination for a new beginning. Debuted in 2006 under YG Entertainment, BIGBANG has held a unique position in K-pop history as an act that handled its own production and planning. This Coachella appearance served as proof of their 20-year journey and lasting influence. Many industry figures, including ROSÉ and LISA from BLACKPINK, were present to share in the excitement at the event.

BIGBANG is set to begin their 20th anniversary world tour in August, working alongside their former agency, YG Entertainment, on this project.
