BABYMONSTER’s New Album Released on May 4, Featuring Choreography Created Through Collaboration with 10 Teams

BABYMONSTER’s third mini-album will be released on May 4. On April 30, Yang Hyun-suk, the chief producer at YG Entertainment, disclosed specific details about this album through an official announcement. This album is a masterpiece prepared over the past year with great effort by producers, completed with full support from YG Entertainment.

The first track to be released from the album is “MOON.” Yang Hyun-suk explained that this marks the group’s first collaboration with a foreign producer team, describing the music as having a highly sophisticated and unique sound design. “MOON” is a swaggy hip-hop song with a dark atmosphere, highlighting the sensitive approach of the foreign producer.

The title track, “CHOOM,” was developed over an extended period to create a performance that matches its name. The most notable aspect is the process of designing its choreography. While it is common for choreography to be commissioned to 2–3 teams, a total of 10 teams participated this time. Most importantly, Yang Hyun-suk personally contributed to the choreography for the chorus section to enhance its quality. Drawing on his experience in creating choreographies for numerous YG hits, he took direct part in this project.

In addition to these tracks, the album features a variety of other songs, including the high-energy track “I LIKE IT” with a fast tempo and the slow track “LOCKED IN,” which showcases the members’ vocal skills.

YG Entertainment has also prepared extensive music videos for this album. Starting with the title track “CHOOM,” a total of 4 music videos will be released sequentially. Following that, a digital single with the temporary title “SUGAR HONEY” will be issued in June, while the music videos for “I LIKE IT” and “MOON” will be released in July and August respectively. This demonstrates YG Entertainment’s full support for this project.
