ADOR Removes Danielle from NewJeans Group Photo in “Rhythm Hive,” Sparking Fan Criticism

Danielle, a member of NewJeans, has been removed from the group photo in HYBE’s mobile music game “Rhythm Hive.” Her image is no longer visible in the game’s artist lineup section featuring NewJeans’ group photo. Fans who noticed this change interpreted it as HYBE attempting to signal a return to a four-member lineup.

In the original photo, Danielle was positioned between Hyein and Minzy, but she was removed after the game update. Some fans pointed out that Minzy’s arm, which was previously hidden by Danielle’s body, is now fully visible. Internet users speculated that Danielle was deleted using AI and that Minzy’s arm was artificially created. There are also no Danielle-related items available in the game’s item selection options.

Fan reactions were strong. Domestic and international fans commented, “It seems HYBE has started removing Danielle gradually,” and “Although Danielle left NewJeans, they are creating the illusion that the group will return to a four-member format.” Many viewed this as a deliberate signal.

On the 12th, Danielle stated in a personal YouTube live broadcast, “I fought until the end to stay with my members, and that truth remains inside me.” As of now, NewJeans’ comeback schedule has not been determined. Haerin, Hyein, and Hanni have decided to return to ADOR, but Minzy has not yet issued a clear statement. ADOR has filed a lawsuit against Danielle demanding substantial compensation for alleged breach of contract.
