Xdinary Heroes Return with “Dead And” to Intensify Global Activities

The five-year-old idol band Xdinary Heroes is set to take the stage with a new album. This marks their return approximately six months after releasing their seventh mini-album, “Love to Death,” in October of last year.

The eighth mini-album, “Dead And,” which will be released on the 17th, centers on the theme that “an end is merely a new possibility.” It represents a concept suggesting another beginning and opportunity rather than a final conclusion. The title track, “Voyager,” enhances immersion through intense synth riffs, powerful drumming, and dynamic guitar performances. The album also features other tracks such as “Rise High Rise.”

Xdinary Heroes, under JYP Entertainment, are known as “concert favorites” for their full-band live performances, solid vocals, and strong stage energy. The members expressed pride in being idol bands, noting that this allows them to appeal to both idol fans and band enthusiasts alike.

They have also achieved significant success on the global stage. At the end of last year, they performed at the renowned music festival “Lollapalooza Chicago,” and they opened for the British band Muse during their concert in South Korea. Member O.de analyzed this success by saying, “Since we were influenced by foreign bands while creating our music, it seems foreign audiences appreciated it even more.”

Support from their senior band DAY6 has also been a major boost. DAY6’s Wonpil recently gave high praise, stating, “Xdinary Heroes are the only group in Korea capable of producing this kind of sound,” and he even visited their concerts to offer personal encouragement. Xdinary Heroes shared their ambitious goals, saying, “We aspire to become a band as great as DAY6,” and adding that they want to be “an outstanding band that can bring honor to Korea by becoming the first Korean band to perform at Wembley Stadium.”
