BLACKPINK’s Lisa Releases Official World Cup Song “Goals” for Opening Ceremony in LA

BLACKPINK’s Lisa has released the official song “Goals” for the 2026 FIFA World Cup in North America and Central America. On May 22, FIFA uploaded the music video for this track, which features Lisa alongside Brazilian singer-songwriter Anitta and Nigerian rapper Rema, to YouTube.

“Goals” is a fusion of Latin pop, K-pop, and Afrobeat, produced by Grammy-winning artist Cirkut. FIFA described it as reflecting the World Cup’s energy that transcends borders, releasing it as the latest track in its official album project for the tournament.

Lisa expressed her joy at contributing to the World Cup’s official album, stating, “I’m very happy to be part of the World Cup’s official album. Music plays a role in uniting people around the world.” Anitta said, “For Brazilians, the World Cup is an extremely emotional event. I’ve had many wonderful memories related to the World Cup since I was young, and it feels truly special to now be directly involved in part of its history.” Rema added, “The fact that artists from three continents came together in one song is a meaningful moment. I wanted to show how world music can connect as one.”

The three musicians are set to perform the first live version of “Goals” at the World Cup opening ceremony held in Los Angeles, United States, on June 12.

This marks the second time a K-pop artist has participated in FIFA’s official World Cup project. Previously, BTS was confirmed to perform at the first-ever World Cup final halftime show, taking place at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey, United States, on July 19. In addition to them, other global artists such as Jelly Roll from the United States, Belinda from Mexico, Daddy Yankee from Puerto Rico, and Shakira from Colombia are also contributing to the World Cup’s official album.
