BLACKPINK’s Lisa Unveils “Goals,” the Official Song for the World Cup

Lisa of BLACKPINK released “Goals,” a track included in the official album for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, alongside Brazilian pop star Anitta and Nigerian artist Rema. FIFA announced via an official press release on the 22nd (Korean time) that this new song had been released, and it was officially made available on global music platforms through SALXCO UAM and Def Jam Recordings.

“Goals” is a track that seamlessly blends Latin pop, K-pop, and Afrobeat. FIFA described it as the most symbolic piece representing the “moment of global music” that the World Cup aims to create. Grammy-winning producer Cirkut handled the production, and the song features elements that reflect the cultural characteristics of three continents.

Lisa stated through FIFA, “I am truly happy and excited to be part of the official album for the 2026 FIFA World Cup. I believe music always has the power to unite people around the world. It was also a great honor for me to work with Anitta and Rema.” Anitta said, “For Brazilians, the World Cup is an extremely emotional event. I have many wonderful memories related to the World Cup since I was young, and it feels truly special to now be part of its history directly.” Rema added, “The fact that artists from three continents came together in one song is a meaningful moment. I wanted to show how world music can be connected as one.”

This track will not remain limited to a digital release only. “Goals” is set to make its first live performance during the opening ceremony of the 2026 North American and Central American World Cup, which will take place at SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles, USA, on June 12.

FIFA is gradually releasing the official album project ahead of the World Cup kickoff. World-renowned artists such as Jelly Roll, Belinda, Daddy Yankee, and Shakira have already confirmed their participation. This marks the second time a K-pop artist has contributed to a FIFA World Cup project. BTS will perform at the first-ever World Cup final halftime show, which will take place at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey, USA, on July 19.
