BABYMONSTER Reaches 12 Million YouTube Subscribers – Fastest Among K-Pop Girl Groups

BABYMONSTER surpassed 12 million subscribers on its official YouTube channel on the 17th. This achievement came approximately 2 years and 2 months after the group’s official debut in April 2024, marking the fastest time for any K-pop girl group to reach this subscriber count since its debut date.

This figure places BABYMONSTER at an overwhelming first place among fifth-generation girl groups. Even when considering all K-pop girl groups, it ranks third behind BLACKPINK and Twice. In particular, their third mini-album “CHOOM,” released on the 4th, served as a powerful catalyst for growth. Within 13 days of release, the group gained around 250,000 new subscribers, showing an average daily growth rate of nearly 20,000 subscribers.

Since joining the 10 million subscriber club last year, BABYMONSTER has continued to experience rapid popularity growth. The group’s total YouTube views have exceeded 8.4 billion, with 16 videos alone accumulating over 100 million views each.

This success is seen as continuing the global growth formula demonstrated earlier by BLACKPINK, BABYMONSTER’s direct senior group. The group is rapidly following in BLACKPINK’s footsteps by leveraging strong control over digital platforms and fostering close connections with fans worldwide to create explosive synergy.

Meanwhile, BABYMONSTER plans to launch its second world tour, which will consist of 27 concerts, starting in Seoul in June. The tour will cover 6 cities in Japan, 8 cities in Asia, and 3 cities in Oceania, totaling 18 cities across different regions.
