BTS to Release Fifth Studio Album “ARIRANG” on March 20, Returning with Full Lineup After Military Service

BTS will release their fifth studio album, “ARIRANG,” on March 20. This marks their first studio album in six years and the first project released after all members have completed their military service. Each member enlisted for mandatory military service starting in 2022, and the album’s title, “ARIRANG,” is derived from a traditional Korean folk song recognized as a UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage.

The album consists of a total of 14 tracks. The seventh track, “SWIM,” serves as the lead single, with RM credited as the songwriter for every track except the interlude. International producers such as Diplo, Kevin Parker, Mike WiLL Made-It, Ryan Tedder, Flume, El Guincho, and JPEGMAFIA contributed to its creation.

Diplo stated in an official statement, “I discussed joining the production team for this album in November 2024. Bang (HYBE’s chairman) was clear from the start. He didn’t want a typical pop producer; he wanted someone willing to take risks and create something revolutionary.”

BTS plans to release “BTS THE COMEBACK LIVE | ARIRANG” via Netflix. The concert trailer was unveiled on March 5. The ARIRANG World Tour will begin on April 9 in Goyang, Gyeonggi Province, with 82 performances scheduled across 34 locations.
