NewJeans Reactivates Social Media Accounts After 6 Months…Post to Celebrate Hyein’s Birthday

NewJeans’ official social media accounts became active again after approximately 6 months. On the 21st, ADOR released a post on the group’s official accounts featuring a behind-the-scenes photo of Hyein along with the caption “HAPPY HYEIN DAY.” This marks the first activity since October of last year and is interpreted as a signal that the group is set to resume full-scale activities.

NewJeans had been engaged in legal battles with ADOR since November 2024, claiming that their exclusive contract should be terminated. Following a prolonged legal dispute, the court ruled in favor of ADOR, confirming the validity of the exclusive contract. After this decision, the members gradually expressed their intentions to return, and the conflict came to an end toward the end of last year.

The current situation for each member varies. Hyein, Haerin, and Hanni have chosen to return, but Danielle received notice from ADOR in December of last year stating that her exclusive contract was being ended. ADOR is currently pursuing a lawsuit against Danielle seeking compensation totaling around 43 billion won due to breach of contract. Minzy is still in negotiations with her agency. The process of returning was not smooth. Hanni and Danielle, who expressed their desire to return later than Hyein and Haerin, announced their intentions unilaterally without prior coordination with ADOR, which led to criticism. Due to a breakdown in trust, Danielle was ultimately notified that her exclusive contract was terminated and she was removed from the group.

Recent activities by the members suggest a full-scale return to activities. Hyein, Haerin, and Hanni were spotted filming in Copenhagen, Denmark, and ADOR officially confirmed this. ADOR stated, “It is true that NewJeans members visited Copenhagen, Denmark, along with the staff.”

The 21st was Hyein’s 19th birthday. On that day, she personally visited a birthday café prepared by her fans to express her gratitude. When the fans sang a birthday song for her, Hyein turned around, visibly moved, and cried. She also fulfilled every request from her fans for autographs, demonstrating sincere Fan Service. Notably, as she was returning as part of NewJeans, she signed a Lightstick as well, creating a special memory for them.

The official social media accounts are also being reorganized. ADOR replaced the member group photos on the profiles with logo-centered images and updated the information on search engines and global platforms to reflect the lineup without Danielle.
