NMIXX Claims Two Music Show Victories with “Heavy Serenade”

NMIXX secured two awards on music shows thanks to their new song “Heavy Serenade.” The group made their first comeback in 2026 on May 11, releasing their fifth mini-album titled “Heavy Serenade” along with the same-name title track.

From the title track “Heavy Serenade” to the pre-release single “Crescendo,” and including tracks written by members LILY and BAE, the entire album has received high praise from music fans for its musical quality and narrative that depicts the “process of love” through its tracklist.

Following their victory on Mnet’s “M Countdown” on May 21, NMIXX lifted the first-place trophy again on KBS 2TV’s “Music Bank” on May 22, achieving two music show wins in total. Right after winning, the members shared their thoughts, saying, “NSWER, we won first place! We hope our serenade was well conveyed, and we’ll work harder on our performances. Thank you so much.” They also demonstrated the true strength of the “hexagonal girl group” with their solid live skills during the encore stage.

The song is performing strongly on music streaming charts as well. “Heavy Serenade” entered the Melon Top 100 chart at position 60 on the day of release, steadily rising in rankings. By 11 p.m. on May 17, the first week after their comeback and after finishing their music show appearances, it had reached position 8, breaking into the top 10. It later climbed as high as position 5 and remained in the upper ranks of the Melon chart, staying around position 10 thereafter.

The album’s performance is equally impressive. This fifth mini-album, featuring six tracks in total, topped both Hanteo Chart’s weekly album chart (May 11–17, 2026) and Circle Chart’s 20th-week album chart (May 10–16, 2026). It also ranked first on Circle Chart’s download chart and V-coloring chart.
