A ranking evaluating American Idol’s 24 winners has been made public. The show was described as still worth discussing even more than 20 years later. Aside from the new winner Hannah Harper, the rankings of these 24 winners were determined based on their musical talent and success following their victory.

The evaluation showed that the influence of early season champions continues to persist. American Idol is regarded as maintaining an “unparalleled status compared to competing media platforms.”

Lee DeWyze, the winner from 2010, was praised for his likable personality and rough café-style singing style, but he was criticized for falling short of Crystal Bowersox’s Johnny Cash-inspired performance, who finished in second place that same year. Chayce Beckham, the winner from 2021, left a deep impression with his performance of The Beatles’ “Blackbird,” yet he faced criticism for his vocal tone resembling that of Creed.

“The 23” by Beckham, the winning song from his 2024 debut album “Bad for Me,” reached number one on the Billboard Country Digital Chart.

Hannah Harper has been focusing on creating new music in local studios since the end of the season. Through social media, she said, “People might think I’m living a glamorous celebrity life after winning American Idol, but I’m recording vocals in local studios.” She mentioned that while she is currently working on about six different versions and various tunes, she has not yet finalized any songs. “It has always been my dream to create music with the people I love in places that mean something to me, and to be directly involved in every detail,” Harper stated.
