EXO Returns After 6 Years with Sold-Out Concert for 32,000 Fans

EXO’s sixth solo concert, “EXO PLANET #6 – EXO RISE IN SEOUL,” held after 6 years and 4 months, saw all tickets sold out across three days, including those in the restricted-view sections, attracting over 32,000 attendees.

The event, held from April 10 to 12 at the KSPO Dome in Songpa-gu, Seoul, was titled “EXO RISE,” a combination of “EXO” and “HORI7ON,” symbolizing the beginning of a new world when EXO and its fan club, EXOEL, come together.

EXO delivered their signature powerful vocals and performances. These were enhanced by conceptual stage designs based on the group’s universe, featuring elements such as a tree of life, a total solar eclipse, red energy, and superpowers associated with each member, further elevating the quality of the shows. Opening grandly with the Mantle Corps, EXO performed hit songs like “MAMA,” “MONSTER,” “ADDICTED,” “ROAR,” and “LOVE SHOT,” as well as EDM medleys including “POWER,” “DON’T FIGHT THE FEELING,” and “RUN,” and title track medleys such as “TEMPO,” “KOKOBAB,” and “CALL ME BABY.”

Successive spectacular stages followed, including “ELDORADO” set against a golden temple backdrop, “BUTTERFLY GIRL” with flower-shaped lifts and laser-mapped butterflies, “FOREVER” creating an immersive narrative using crowns as key props, “CROWN” ending with a powerful sequence involving aerial stairs, “BACK IT UP” featuring explosive group choreography with 20 dancers, and “CRAZY” showcasing restrained sensuality. Special stage performances for each member added even more excitement, such as “TOTAL ECLIPSE” highlighting Suho’s passionate vocals, “GRAVITY” standing out for Chanyeol’s intense rap and dance breaks, Kai’s “GILLES” drawing attention with its puppet-based choreography, “ARTIFICIAL LOVE” emphasizing Sehun’s hot performances, and “BABY DON’T CRY” showcasing the chemistry between Suho and D.O.

Towards the end of the concert, the members expressed their gratitude through tearful speeches. They said, “We were worried about performing after such a long time, but seeing your smiling faces gave us strength. EXOEL is like the four seasons to us—spring, summer, autumn, and winter. Thank you for loving us unconditionally over these 14 years. We want to stay on stage with you for life.” The concert was also streamed online via Beyond Live and Weverse, allowing fans around the world to enjoy it together.

Starting with this Seoul show, EXO has begun a global concert tour covering 14 locations worldwide. They will perform in Ho Chi Minh City in April, Nagoya, Taipei, Bangkok, and Macau in May, Osaka, Jakarta, Hong Kong, and Kuala Lumpur in June, and Manila, Tokyo, Kaohsiung, and Singapore in July.
