Cast Confirmed for ‘100 Days of Lie’ Featuring Kim Yoo-jung, Park Jin-young, Kim Hyun-ju and Four Others

The main cast members for tvN’s drama ‘100 Days of Lie’ have been finalized. Kim Yoo-jung, Park Jin-young, Kim Hyun-ju, Lee Mu-saeng, and Jin Seon-kyu will appear in the series. Director Yu In-sik is handling the direction, while writer Ryu Bo-ri is responsible for the script.

The drama is a spy romance that depicts the dangerous and tense love between the best pickpocket in Gyeongseong who infiltrated the Japanese Colonial Government General Office under cover as an interpreter, and the new elite interpreter of the same office who is the adopted son of the Political Governor-General. It also explores their aspirations for a glorious independence. By utilizing the setting of an interpreter, the series delves into the truths and hidden secrets of those who speak, offering fresh suspense and entertainment.

Kim Yoo-jung will play Lee Ga-kyung, the best pickpocket in Gyeongseong who infiltrated the Japanese Colonial Government General Office as an interpreter for 100 days. She was gathering money to achieve her life goal of going to the United States when she became a spy for the Guogudan organization due to their irresistible offer and thus entered the Japanese Colonial Government General Office. Kim Yoo-jung said, “I am honored to be part of such a meaningful work. I hope it becomes a warm series that comforts many people and encourages them to reflect on history and life. Park Jin-young will portray Kim Tae-woong, the adopted son of the Political Governor-General named Sato Hideo, as well as the new elite interpreter for the Japanese Colonial Government General Office. Being a perfect speaker in three rare languages—English, Japanese, and Korean—he returns to Gyeongseong after over a decade to take on a crucial role as an interpreter. Park Jin-young said, “Since this is a work set during a painful era, I am approaching the filming with extra caution. I will do my best until the end to deliver a meaningful series.”

Kim Hyun-ju will play Yu So-ran, a sniper for the anti-Japanese group Guogudan who picks up a gun for revenge. Having washed her identity and married under false pretenses as a Chinese woman, she returns to Gyeongseong after over a decade to carry out an assassination mission targeting Sato Shin-ichi. Kim Hyun-ju said, “I feel deeply honored to be part of a work set in the 1930s. I want to create a meaningful series together with the actors who have shown great chemistry since the script reading. Lee Mu-saeng will play Yu Philip, a correspondent for an American news agency based in Gyeongseong. As a member of the Guogudan, he makes full use of his identity as an American of Korean descent and a journalist to destabilize the Political Governor-General, who is sensitive to international situations. Lee Mu-saeng said, “I am thinking about how to portray ‘100 Days of Lie’ truthfully, but my desire to meet the viewers soon is even stronger. I go to the set every day with that mindset. Jin Seon-kyu will play Sato Shin-ichi, the new Political Governor-General of the Japanese Colonial Government General Office and the father of Sato Hideo—a man full of ambition who is skilled in schemes and tactics. As the second-in-command of the Japanese Colonial Government General Office, he is willing to do anything for success and advancement, making him the primary target of the Guogudan. Jin Seon-kyu said, “I am excited about the possibility of working well with great actors. I hope this series will leave a deep impression in the hearts of viewers. ‘100 Days of Lie’ is scheduled to air on tvN in the second half of 2026.
